Lark After Dark: The Phantom of the Opera (1925)

Monday, 5 October 2026
About this event
More than a century after it first terrified audiences, the original 1925 The Phantom of the Opera returns to the big screen at The Lark.
Lon Chaney stars as the mysterious Phantom, haunting the hidden passages beneath the Paris Opera House in one of the defining films of early horror cinema.
With its vast gothic sets, theatrical atmosphere and one of cinema’s most famous unmasking scenes, this is a rare chance to experience a 100-year-old horror landmark as audiences originally did: on the big screen, together, in the darkness of a theatre.
Part of Lark After Dark: Home of Halloween in Balbriggan, Fingal.
Screenings at 7pm & 9pm. Tickets: €10 inc fees.
